Statec Binder

Statec Binder, an internationally leading company from Austria, develops machines and systems for the packaging industry. The goal of the HMI project was to create a unified operating concept for a diverse product family with completely different functionalities.

Project goals:

• Unified Operating Philosophy: Development of an HMI standard applicable to all machines in the product family, regardless of their functionality.
• High Flexibility: Adaptable design to accommodate specific customer requirements.
• International Focus: User-friendly solutions for customers from diverse cultures and languages.
• Efficiency in Commissioning: Support for installations and training worldwide.

Alphagate’s Contribution:

• Development of a modular HMI system with flexible adaptation to individual machines and customer requirements.
• Design of an intuitive user interface that complies with international standards and optimally supports the operator.
• Support with software integration and global commissioning.

Diversity of the product family

The machines have completely different functionalities, yet a unified operating concept had to be created that is equally intuitive for all devices.

The HMI had to be flexible enough to quickly and efficiently accommodate the diverse requirements and configurations of individual machines.
